Each year, Summit High School hosts The Summit Relays – a day long track meet held at Tatlock Field in Summit. It is usually one of the first track meets of the Spring season for Union, Essex, and Morris County schools. The meet starts at 9 am and ends around 3 pm. The Summit Relays is the largest event hosted by Summit High School – attended by a larger audience than even the fall football game featured as “Friday Night Lights.”
FAST ACT is the 501(c)(3) organization to support the Summit, NJ School District (Summit High School and Lawton C Johnson Summit Middle School) Track and cross-country programs. All proceeds from The Summit Relays are used to fund additional coaching staff, scholarship programs, uniforms, timing equipment, and team travel.
